Employee dies of natural causes while operating crop scrap s
At approximately 4:30 p.m. on January 29, 2017, an employee was operating a crop scrap shear when a jam occurred on the chute. The employee attempted to dislodge the jam and was later found unresponsive, lying on the floor in a fetal position. The employee was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. The medical examiner had ruled the cause of death as natural causes. The employee's heart had a congenital defect in his aortic and pulmonary artery that caused his death.
