Employee is crushed and killed by trailer
At 8:45 a.m. on September 25, 2020, Employee #1, the company owner, was attempting to replace a seal on a hydraulic component that lifted and lowered a shipping container trailer bed. Employee #1 removed a pin that made the rear axle of the trailer bed stationary when the bed was loaded or unloaded. He then asked the truck driver to operate the controls so he could pull out the hydraulic component. When the controls were operated, the rear axle and tires attached sprung forward rolling over Employee #1. He was crushed by the weight of the trailer bed and the 10,000-pound shipping container that was on the bed at the time of the accident.
