Employee is killed in fall from fixed ladder
At 12:00 noon on November 29, 2020, an employee was cleaning the walls of the hold of a ship with a broom while descending down a fixed ladder. The employee had cleaned down to the second platform when he went to step onto a second fixed ladder and his right foot missed the step causing him to fall approximately 28 feet to the bottom of the ship's hold. The employee suffered fatal head and torso trauma.
